Mont. Deputy Stabbed; Suspect Fatally Shot

A suspect was fatally shot by a Phillips County Deputy Alan Guderjahn after repeatedly stabbing the deputy Wednesday morning.

A suspect was fatally shot by a Phillips County, Montana Sheriff's deputy after repeatedly stabbing the deputy Wednesday morning.

Deputy Alan Guderjahn responded to a report of a suspicious man walking along U.S. Highway 191 near mile marker 122 when the man pulled a knife on him as he was confronted, stabbing him multiple times, according to The Billings Gazzette.

Guderjahn shot and killed the man after being stabbed and was transported to a hospital in Great Falls were he was listed in stable condition.

The Phillips County Sheriff’s Office has requested the Montana DCI investigate the incident.
