Video: Tree Falls on New Jersey Police Officer

Ringwood Police Officer Douglas Faber was injured when he was truck by the tree as he attempted to move a branch that had fallen onto the Greewood Lake Turnpike early Friday morning.

Dashcam video shows a large tree falling on a New Jersey police officer Friday morning.

Ringwood Police Officer Douglas Faber was injured when he was truck by the tree as he attempted to move a branch that had fallen onto the Greewood Lake Turnpike around 5:30 a.m., according to NJ.com.

The 8-year veteran was unable to get out of the way in time as footage captured the sound of cracking and the collapsing of the tree.

Police Chief Joseph Walker said that the 33-year-old broke his wrist and needed 13 stitches and close a wound to his head.
