Ford Recalls 2014-2015 Police Interceptor SUVs

The Ford Motor Company announced on Wednesday it is recalling certain 2014-2015 Ford Police Interceptor SUVs to fix a suspension defect.

The Ford Motor Company announced on Wednesday that it is recalling certain 2014-2015 Ford Police Interceptor SUVs to fix a suspension defect.

The recall of 81,000 sport-utility vehicles, which includes both the Explorer and Police Interceptor models, has been connected to at least one crash and injury, accoridng to USA Today.

Officials said that the vehicles' rear suspension toe links were poorly welded and could fracture. The issue could result in a loss of steering.

Ford says it will compensate dealers to deliver free repairs to vehicle owners and police departments.
