Early last week, Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie said "other" people were still being looked at in connection with Amanda and Jerad Miller, who killed two Las Vegas police officers and a citizen June 8.
Now the Lafayette (Ind.) Journal & Courier is reporting law enforcement officers in Tippecanoe County have arrested a man who claims to be affiliated with the Millers through a group dedicated to "killing local law enforcement officers."
According to online records of the Tippecanoe County Jail, Samuel Bradbury was booked June 21 and is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.
The Journal & Courier said Bradbury, 22, of Pine Village, Ind., was arrested after someone tipped off police to his Facebook posts, "which included death threats against a Tippecanoe County judge, an Indiana Supreme Court justice and two Tippecanoe County law enforcement officers, a probable cause affidavit states."
Some of his posts described in the affidavit include references to gathering thermite and explosives and the possibility of a suicide bombing. Thermite burns so hot that water cannot extinguish the blaze. At residences frequented by Bradbury, police found chemicals that preliminary testing indicated were components of incendiary devices, the affidavit said.
Bradbury, the newspaper reported, told law enforcement he was connected to the Millers, "whom he said were part of a group called '765 Anarchists.'"
The newspaper story also says Bradbury called himself the leader of the group, formed "for the purpose of killing local law enforcement officers."
The Millers moved from Lafayette to Las Vegas in January. On June 8, close to noon, the Millers walked into CiCi's Pizza on Nellis Boulevard, then shot and killed officers Igor Soldo and Alyn Beck, who were eating lunch. The two then ran to a nearby Wal-Mart, where Amanda Miller shot citizen Joseph Wilcox. After a shootout with police, Jerad Miller was shot and died; his wife shot herself dead.
Bradbury faces felony intimidation charges, the paper said, plus unspecified and sealed federal charges.
He has an initial hearing Monday in U.S. District Court in Hammond, Ind.
