Smart911 has recently been deployed in six additional states (La., Okla., Utah, Ohio, Iowa, Alaska) – and by public safety answering points (PSAPs) serving 100s of communities – bringing the total number of communities benefiting from the service to more than 1,000.
Public safety officials across the U.S. are embracing Smart911 for the assistance it provides to both citizens and emergency responders. Smart911 allows citizens to create a Safety Profile for their household that includes any information they want 9-1-1 and response teams to have in the event of an emergency. When a citizen makes an emergency call, their Safety Profile is automatically displayed to the 9-1-1 call-taker. The technology is quickly deployed and operates on nearly all PSAP technology combinations.
