Two officers were injured by the getaway vehicle of a fleeing suspect Sunday in San Francisco's Castro district, police said.

At 12:30 p.m., someone called the police about a suspicious person on the 500 block of Castro Street. Arriving officers spotted the suspect and chased him.

Preliminary information suggests the man jumped into a white sedan at 18th and Castro streets and sped away, dragging one officer and injuring the other, police said. Authorities were still looking for the suspect and the vehicle.

The officers were not seriously injured and declined to be taken to the hospital.
