An unmarked LAPD vehicle and an SUV collided Monday morning in the city's Glassell Park area.

Seven people, including four police officers, were injured and transported to local hospitals when an unmarked LAPD vehicle and an SUV collided Monday morning in the Glassell Park area.

Two of the four officers remained in serious but stable condition, while the other two were stable, said Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman Rosario Herrera. The three cilivians were also reported in stable condition.

The crash occurred at 8:45 a.m. at Fletcher Drive and San Fernando Road. The four officers were traveling in an unmarked Ford Crown Victoria on their way to an incident, Herrera said. A preliminary investigation found the car's lights and siren were activated when it collided with the SUV. The SUV appeared to have been traveling at a high speed, Herrera said. An investigation into the crash is continuing.

The crash occurred less than two weeks after LAPD Officer Nicholas Lee, 40, was killed in a collision between a police cruiser car and a truck in Beverly Hills. Lee's partner was injured. That investigation is ongoing, Herrera said.
