A Florida Highway Patrol Trooper, with the help of a Miami Beach police officer, saved a man's life Saturday after responding to a single-car crash and finding the man without a pulse and not breathing.

The FHP trooper, Yudiel Santana, responded to the crash on the eastbound State Road I-195 and the North Miami Avenue exit ramp just after noon Saturday.

The driver of a black 2004 Mercedes, identified as Kareem Shaker, was unconscious, according to FHP.

Santana pulled the man from the car and began CPR. A few minutes later, Miami Beach Officer Tino Serrano stopped to help with CPR.

Shaker regained consciousness just before fire-rescue arrived. He was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
