Alabama Police Officer, Two Others Killed in Crash

A Centre, Ala. Police officer, a woman and her son were killed in a crash on Friday.

Officer Jeffrey Hugh Bryant was traveling on Alabama 35 near Gaylesville when his cruiser was struck around 2:50 p.m., according to The Huntsville Times.

The 51-year-old officer was returning from a neighboring county when a car driven by 24-year-old Charity Sloane Brewster hit him.

Bryant, Brewster and her 2-year-old son were killed in the wreck.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.

Funeral arrangements

Visitation will be held on Monday, Dec. 23 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and funeral services will be held on at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Perry Funeral Home in Centre.
