Shooting in Costco Leaves Virginia Deputy Hurt, Woman Dead

The deputy had responded to the Costco for a disturbance.

A Loudoun County sheriff's deputy was shot and injured, and a woman is dead following an incident in a Costco in Virginia on Wednesday afternoon.

Reports indicated the deputy, shot in the leg, responded to the store for a disorderly person, according to WUSA9.com.

The woman, a Costco food service employee, came at the deputies with a knife. She was tasered, but it didn't work, the sheriff said during a press conference.

A second deputy also may have been injured.
