Frederick police went to the first block of East South Street at about 10 p.m. Sunday for a burglary call. They spoke to a woman who said she came downstairs to find a strange man sleeping on her couch, according to charging documents filed in Frederick County District Court.

Officers woke the man, identified as Kevin Thursun Siddique, 36, of the 11300 block of Youngstown Drive. When one of the officers asked if he knew where he was, Siddique said he was in his own house, the documents state.

Officers found a set of keys in the back door of the home and determined that Siddique had come in through the unlocked door, according to the documents.

Siddique is being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center in lieu of $5,000 bail. He is charged with fourth-degree burglary.
