Sept. 21--ST. LOUIS COUNTY -- A former St. Louis County police officer will serve 160 days in jail, away from the general population, after admitting to having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a teenage girl more than 10 years ago.

Cedric K. Webb, 44, of the 2000 block of Carrie Way Lane in north St. Louis County, resigned from the department in May after the victim, now in her 20s, brought forth her claims. He was charged with three counts of second-degree statutory sodomy, all of which he pleaded guilty to last week.

St. Louis County Circuit Court Judge Tom DePriest ordered the jail time, along with a five-year prison sentence that will go on Webb's record but will be suspended as long as he stays out of trouble.

Webb was most recently a patrol officer in the North County precinct. He became a mentor for the victim, a habitual runaway, shortly after he joined the force in 1999 and the relationship turned sexual.
