Md. Officer Hurt in Crash with Suspected DWI Driver

Police in Howard County said a woman was arrested for driving under the influence after hitting a marked police cruiser in North Laurel.

ELLICOTT CITY (AP) - Police in Howard County said a woman was arrested for driving under the influence after hitting a marked police cruiser in North Laurel.

Police said Yolanda Murchison of Columbia, Md., was arrested early Saturday. Police said she drove her 2012 Chevrolet Cruze over a curb, across a median and into the right rear of an occupied police vehicle.

The police officer driving the vehicle was taken by ambulance to a hospital and is listed in stable condition. Murchison was not injured.
