Colo. Deputies, Officer Injured in Motorcycle Training Crash

Two El Paso County sheriff's deputies and a Colorado Springs police officer were involved in a crash near the airport on Friday afternoon.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.

Two El Paso County sheriff's deputies and a Colorado Springs police officer were involved in a crash near the airport on Friday afternoon.

The officers were on motorcycles involved in escort training when the chain-reaction crash occurred just after 2 p.m. at 1360 Aviation Way, KRDO-TV reported.

The injured officers were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries, the station said.

A photo taken at the scene showed two motorcycles on their sides in the road and debris in the roadway.

A witness told the Colorado Springs Gazette she saw one officer on the ground and another upright and talking shortly after the crash.

The identities of the injured officers and their conditions have not been released.
