COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --

Officers in Colorado Springs said they came under attack by a suspect throwing rocks on Wednesday.

A man called police and said a neighbor was throwing rocks at his car.

When officers went to the neighbor's house, a hail of rocks came at them.

Officers said they went around the house, found the man and tried to arrest him, but a violent fight ensued.

One officer deployed a Taser to stop the man, but it had no effect, police said.

Numerous officers got involved in trying to subdue the suspect and the man was taken into custody, police said.

Michael Menke was treated at a local hospital then arrested on suspicion of assault on a peace officer, resisting, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief.

None of the officers were hurt, police said.
