SWISSVALE, Pa. --
Police in Swissvale said a man was arrested after a chase ended with a struggle that sent an officer to the hospital.
According to police reports, officers pulled a man over during a traffic stop in Whitaker.
Police said the man ran from the stop and officers gave chase.
When an officer caught up with the man on South Braddock Avenue in Swissvale, the pair struggled, police said. During the struggle, the officer suffered a gash on his head, police said.
The officer was taken to the hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
There's no word on what charges the suspect might face.
