A Bellevue police officer has been hospitalized for treatment of smoke inhalation.

BELLEVUE, Neb. --

A Bellevue police officer has been hospitalized for treatment of smoke inhalation.

Officials said the female officer was among the first responders to a fire. She was checking to make sure no one was inside a home when the smoke got to be too much, officials said.
