BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. --
Baltimore County police are searching for a white pit bull that was involved in an attack on a police officer in the Towson area on Monday.
The officer responded at about 12:30 p.m. to an animal complaint along Deanwood Road and was attacked multiple times by two dogs as he got out of his car, police said.
The officer used pepper spray to repel the dogs and was also affected by the spray, officials said. The officer, a six-year veteran, was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Police said one of the dogs was captured, but they're still looking for the second.
Anyone who sees a white pit bull with an orange spot on its backside is urged to stay away from it and call 911 immediately.
The dog was last seen in the area of California Avenue and Harford Road.
