Second South Dakota Police Officer Dies
A second Rapid City police officer has died from injuries suffered in last week’s shootout in the western South Dakota city.
Police Chief Steve Allender told the Rapid City Journal that 27-year-old Nick Armstrong died Sunday at Rapid City Regional Hospital. The second-year officer had been fighting for his life but lost the fight, according to published reports.
