U.S. Secret Service Uniformed Division Officers provide protection for:
- The President, Vice President and their immediate families
- The White House Complex, Vice President’s residence and the main Treasury Building and Annex
- Foreign Diplomatic Missions and Embassies in the Washington, D.C., area
- Travel in support of Presidential, Vice Presidential and foreign heads of state/government
- Enforces United States and District of Columbia Code as described under Title 3, Section 202 pursuant to mandated protective responsibilities
After two years officers can apply to Specialized Units such as, Canine Unit; Emergency Response Team; Counter Sniper Team; Crime Scene Search Unit; Magnetometer Operations Section; Bicycle Patrol Unit; or Motorcade Support Unit.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 21 years of age and less than 40
- Visual acuity no worse than 20/60 uncorrected, correctable to 20/20 in each eye
- Must successfully complete a medical and polygraph examination a drug
screening and qualify for a top secret security clearance - Able and willing to relocate to the Washington, D.C. area; **Moving
