Only this one has an ending.
From the “what are they thinking” department comes this story from the Phoenix area: Last week a woman contacted police and advised that her eight-month-old daughter, whom she had left with a stranger, was missing. Early reports indicate that the woman, mother of little Chrisette Ochoa, had been out drinking with the other woman and had asked her companion to keep the little girl. Someone eventually took the missing baby to a market, where she was found after news broadcasts surfaced.
First, let’s address the whole idea of leaving your child, your precious baby, with a total stranger. You don’t know anything about this person, but you entrust your kid’s welfare to her?
Personally, I have no sympathy for the mom at all. I think situations like this are a straight haul to “three strikes and you’re out.”
Everyone is entitled to a mistake or two in life, even parents, but leaving your child with a stranger isn’t a mistake. It’s a crime. Chrisette’s mother should lose custody now and forever. I don’t care what her excuse is. I have no sympathy for her at all.
But I will bet a month’s worth of paychecks that she will eventually get her child back.
Getting her back and deserving to have her back are two different things.
Here’s my missing person connection of the day. She’s someone’s child and she has been unidentified since she was found in 1988. Take a look at this artist’s rendering and see if she rings any bells.

Wow! This is a no brainer. What was she thinking about? I agree. She will probably get fined, slapped on her wrist and custody of the child returned to her.
That pic looks like the woman that is missing from Arizona. Apparently the woman was walking her
dog around 5:00 in the morning before she was to head off to work. The dog came back but she was missing. They don’t know if this woman walked away or if she was abducted. The pic looks alot like her though.
Unfortunately, LadyAce, children are often returned to parents who shouldn’t be allowed that privilege. And Cindy, can you provide a link to the woman you are talking about?

Anne Carver, 33, went missing while she was walking her dog, Zena, but returned home. I thought the composite looked like her, but I guess it isn’t her, afterall.
drunk needs help but child should be removed this is carelessness beyond the norm. next time it may be a much worse story.
