Stephen (Steve) Nichols has been with Thales Communications, Inc., since 1997 leading business development activities for the company’s Project 25 radio product lines, including, most recently, the LibertyTM Multiband Land Mobile Radio. He has more than 30 years of experience in the Land Mobile and Public Safety Radio Industries in various product development, marketing, and business development positions, having worked for Thales (and its predecessor organization Racal), EF Johnson, Bendix King, Uniden, RELM, and Hy-Gain Electronics. Mr. Nichols is First Vice President of the Project 25 Technology Interest Group (PTIG), a member of the Software Defined Radio Forum Public Safety Interest Group, a member of the APCO Commercial Advisory Board, and has represented Thales at the TIA TR-8 standards meetings as well as numerous Project 25 vendor panels.
