Midwest Forensic Imaging is owned and operated by Thomas Doggett CEP, CCSI. Thomas has Associate Degrees in Photography Technology and Criminal Justice, a Bachelor Degree in Business Management, and over 20 years of full-time law enforcement experience of which the past 17 have included working as a Crime Scene Investigator. He is an EPIC certified Evidence Photographer, IAI Certified Crime Scene Investigator and Illinois licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B).
Thomas's Crime Scene Investigation and Photography experience began in 1993 while working full-time as a Deputy Coroner / Death Investigator for the DuPage County (Illinois) Coroner's Office. Thomas transferred to the Batavia Police Department, which is situated in both Kane andDuPage Counties, in 1997, where he continues to work full-time as a Police Officer / CSI. Thomas holds ancillary CSI duties with the Kane County Major Crimes Task Force and maintains the Photo Lab for the Batavia Police Department. He occasionally instructs classes in forensic photography with several accredited institutions.
Thomas's interest in photography goes beyond forensic photography and began in 1985 while serving as an Infantryman in the US Army's elite 101st Airborne Division. There Thomas always had a camera available and made many photographs of the other soldiers in his unit.
