GE Security, Inc.'s EST3-Sixty Mass Notification/Emergency Communications (MNEC) solution provides new levels of protection and communications access to people in educational, military, industrial, commercial and other facilities of any size. The EST3-Sixty MNEC system to achieve the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) new mass notification standard. As the first such system listed by Underwriters Laboratories to their UL 2572 Mass Notification standard, EST3-Sixty charts new territory. The system offers a combination of field-proven crisis management tools and the latest Voice-over-IP (VoIP) and fiber optic communications. EST3-Sixty integrates protection and notification systems to utilize multiple forms of communication including paging systems, fire alarms, electronic signage, e-mail notifications, computer pop-ups, text messaging and other means for communication.
GE Homeland Protection Inc., a business of GE Security, Inc., offers MobileTrace, a user-friendly trace detection instrument that enables simultaneous explosives and narcotics detection in a handheld device. MobileTrace facilitates detection of both narcotics and explosives in seconds and also increases the range of explosives detectable from a single sample. MobileTrace's simultaneous dual-mode detection, combined with a state-of-the-art battery for longer life provides users the capabilities needed to stay ahead of the growing substance detection challenges of law enforcement and military operations. Based on GE Security's field-proven Ion Trap Mobility Spectrometry (ITMS) platform, MobileTrace offers customers a reliable detection tool in a lightweight package that is intuitive, compact and easy to use, with a contemporary data display and touch-screen user interface.
Multiple security systems from different manufacturers as well as systems deployed in multiple locations can be managed with Facility Commander 2.0 from GE Security. A standards-based command and control integration platform, Facility Commander 2.0 lets organizations integrate multiple aspects of their security and facility management within a single screen. This single, intuitive interface provides one console for all access control, video surveillance and alarm management functions. Built-in drivers support GE's Picture Perfect and Secure Perfect access control systems as well as digital CCTV, analog CCTV switchers, intrusion and intercom systems.
GE Security's Supra Division offers three key storage cabinets, which will securely store 30, 60 or 120 keys. These cabinets employ GE Security's recently-introduced QuickAccess keyless pushbutton lock, which eliminates rekeying by enabling end users to change the combination right at the lock as often as needed. To open, users simply enter an authorized combination code. All three versions of the GE Security key storage cabinets feature heavy 16-gauge steel construction with piano-hinged doors to resist vandalism. Inside, key hooks can hold multiple keys on supplied key tags, or hold them directly. Lock components don't jam, combinations work and the lock is pry-resistant because of the lock's clutch mechanism. It can also be used easily in low light conditions.
General Electric's Security business offers its TRAC-Tube intelligent key storage device, which helps secure unattended, standalone access points. TRAC-Tube is the latest addition to the TRACcess line of electronic key control and entry tracking systems, which offers a more secure and convenient alternative to issuing and managing mechanical keys or access cards on site. TRAC-Tube holds up to two keys and access cards and provides a robust audit trail on users. It is accessed and powered by a TRACkey. The stainless steel TRAC-Tube recesses into a wall with a minimum thickness of seven inches and is secured with mortar, cement or epoxy. The tube measures 3.32 inches (85mm) in diameter and 6.63 inches (168mm) in overall length.
GE's Security business has made available the second installment in its new AccessPoint consumer key storage product line, which helps people keep spare and emergency keys accessible and secure. A quartet of new wall-mounted key managing devices includes a key organizer with storage cups for everyday items like cell phones, a key strip that manages up to ten sets of keys and an attractive key cabinet that comes with or without an electronic lock.

GE's Security business offers the SymSuite IP solution that lets users already invested in legacy analog systems create an IP-based video network while continuing to use their existing analog equipment. Users can connect SymVeo IP platform cameras, SymDec digital video recorders, PCs and servers directly to the network. SymNet encoders/decoders provide network access for currently used analog cameras and monitors. The platform can be used anywhere an organization needs to capture surveillance video and is especially beneficial in applications with multiple facilities such as banks, ATM kiosks, school campuses, etc.
