Texas Police Officer Killed in Motorcycle Crash On Way to Work

Marble Falls Police Officer Andrew Howe died early Friday in a motorcycle crash driving to work.

MARBLE FALLS, Texas -- A Marble Falls police officer died early Friday in a motorcycle crash on his way to work, according multiple media reports and tweets from city officials.

Officials identified the officer as Andrew Howe, a nearly two-year veteran of the department who came to Marble Falls after 10 years with Richardson police, according to The Highlander news publication.

DailyTrib.com, a Hill Country news organization, reported that the crash happened around 6:15 a.m. in the 5000 block of RM 1431.

The Burnet County and Travis County sheriff's offices sent condolences to Marble Falls police via social media, as did other local and county officials.
