Mississippi Police Search For Escaped Inmates

Pike County authorities are on a massive manhunt Monday after four prisoners, including one alleged killer, escaped.

Sheriff Mark Shepherd said the group of inmates got out around 8 p.m. Sunday.

Among them is Alanza James, from Roseland, La., he is charged with capital murder.

Also on the loose is Eric Brown, of Magnolia, Miss. He was serving a 6-year sentence for drug possession.

Randy Hall, of Magnolia, was serving a 17-year sentence for arson, burglary, and forgery, and Douglas Wells, also of Magnolia, was awaiting trial on burglary charges.

A fifth man who allegedly escaped from the Pike County Jail is back in custody.
