Three boys, ages 11, 12 and 16, have been arrested in connection with a bank robbery in Houston earlier this month, authorities confirmed Wednesday.

The suspected bank robbers were taken into custody on Tuesday and charged with robbery by threat, a second-degree felony.

In a message shared on social media on March 14, FBI Houston officials asked the public for help in locating the three minors, whom they dubbed the “Little Rascals” — a reference to the classic TV show about the adventures of a group of boys in a low-income neighborhood.

“Believe it or not they just robbed the Wells Fargo at 10261 North Freeway,” the agency said on X, sharing security camera images of all three boys. “If you know who and where they are contact police immediately,” the post added.

The release of the images prompted a series of calls with tips about the trio, including from the parents of two of them, who contacted police with information, according to local ABC affiliate KTRK.

The third young suspect was identified by a law enforcement officer following a fight.

The boys, who have not been named because of their age, are accused of coming into the bank and showing a threatening note to a teller, investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said. They then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
